Vitaly Borodin, an employee of Russia’s federal security and anti-corruption office, will appeal to the Russian Ministry of Justice in early March with a request to recognize Russian singer Alla Pugacheva as a “foreign agent”. The procedure to declare him a “foreign agent” has now begun.

“Friends, I have a very important message to announce. I have received a response from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation to my application. The procedure to recognize Alla Pugacheva as a foreign agent has been initiated, the prosecutor’s office is asking the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to recognize Pugacheva as a foreign agent. I hope that the controlling authorities will bring this case to the end,” writes Borodin.
Borodin regularly addresses the General Prosecutor’s Office with complaints against cultural workers, journalists or artists and asks them to be recognized as foreign agents or prosecuted for “discrediting the army”.
Pugacheva’s husband, comedian Maksims Galkin, was also declared a “foreign agent” a long time ago.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the singer and humorist, once popular in Russia, left the country and moved to Israel with her children.
Galkin has repeatedly publicly condemned Russia’s attack on Ukraine. On the other hand, Pugacheva has angered the citizens of Russia by calling them slaves.
