On the night of Saturday, it may rain in many places, the day is expected to be mostly dry. Fog is possible along the coast, and maximum temperatures on Holy Saturday are expected to range from 5 degrees in some parts of the coast to 16 degrees in the south-eastern part of the country.

On Sunday afternoon, as the sun warms and a moderately strong southeast wind blows, the air temperature is expected to rise to 17…22 degrees. On Sunday evening and Monday night, temporary rain and thunderstorms are possible in many places, which can locally bring heavy rain, hail and strong wind gusts.

On the second Easter, after a warm night in which the air temperature will remain above 10 degrees in most of the country, the thermometer may rise to 18…22 degrees, it will be cooler on the coast. The wind will become slower, temporary rain and thunderstorms are expected in places.

After the holidays, the weather will become colder, snow is possible and the temperature may drop below zero at night.

It has already been reported that, according to the data of the Latvian Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology, the highest air temperature recorded in the country in the first month of spring so far is 20.8 degrees on March 30, 1968 in Mērsrag. On the other hand, the heat record for March 31 and April 1 is 19.1 degrees, which was registered in 2010 in Rucava and in 2017 in Stande, respectively.
