“There was a conflict between us due to the influence of some people around us, but as time went by, I realized that we have a lot in common and we have gone through a similar hell, so I wanted to resolve the relationship with Struberg. It was crazy to watch how his closest friends, in quotes, are able to “throw” someone close to them at the first problems, just so that their wallets don’t suffer,” comments Captain Reinis, whose real name is Reinis Klattenbergs.

“The collaboration with Kapteini Reini is a very logical next step in this musical period. Thanks to Horen, we started experimenting in the studio and played to each other’s strengths in the process. I feel like one of the most valuable scales directly related to working in the studio is getting something new. Do I come out of the studio better? Sometimes it’s very important to change something in your creative paths and see where it leads,” says Struberg.

When Reinis showed the idea of the new song, Kristaps really liked the atmosphere, the triphop beat. “And then I found a rhythmic and melodic solution with freestyle, which I think was very successfully nurtured and supplemented by Reinas,” says Kristaps about the creation of the song.

“In this collaboration song, we learned a lot from each other, we were aware of each other’s strengths and weaknesses, helping each other to reach a better result,” adds Reinis.

On the other hand, Kristaps is very happy that he managed to create a song that has meaning: “A song whose words are not empty sound.”
