“If you start listening to praise, you will also live from being praised. When you are praised and you give in, stay somehow in the power of those people, because next time they will have the power to push you into the mud. Therefore, it is better to take only what you need and don’t put sugar or salt in your veins,” says actor and rapper Igors Šelegovskis. For many, he may be associated with a bad or gloomy image. He also plays a KGB agent in the multi-part film “Soviet Jeans”, but he himself admits that he is not like that in real life. In parallel with acting, he writes poetry about love, “some” verses in rap and now also studies writing.

Man dod spēlēt tādas lomas. Negribu ieiet vienā formā, jo, manuprāt, varu nospēlēt jebko. Sakrita, ka pēdējās lomas tādas bija. Diemžēl arī cilvēkiem un darba pasūtītājiem rodas tāds priekšstats.

Bet tā ir arī mana atbildība. Jāsāk filtrēt, ko es daru un ko nedaru, kādas lomas spēlēju. Jāsaka, ka sliktais tēls nav vienīgā lieta, kas manī ir un ko varu izdarīt. Nedomāju, ka esmu tāds ļaundaris kā manas lomas.

Notiek paradokss – ja zinu, ka tas neesmu es pats, ir vieglāk nospēlēt varoni, jo ir mazāka atbildība. Šķiet: “O, tas jau neesmu es, varu darīt jebko!” Tas ir kā maska, kas noņem atbildību no sevis paša. Atveidot tēlu, kas ir ļoti pietuvināts man, ir daudz sarežģītāk, jo liekas, ka rādu pats sevi.
