The creator and director of “From the District to the Arena” Rolands Rekke has collected not only more than twenty years of Ozol’s musical performance, but also comments and insights from musicians and contemporaries who participated in the great concert. On the other hand, the show’s sound engineer Didzis Simanovičs captured and processed the live performance of the artists. The concert recording goes through the highlights of the show in sequence. It has two parts, the first of which is dedicated to the performance with Latvijas Radio Bigband and Kristīni Prauliņu, while the second part clearly reveals the essence of the hip-hop genre and at the same time is a retrospective look at the brightest works of art, whose performances full of surprises, alongside Ozol, feature guest artists such as Don , Gustavo, Čižiks, ansis, roland če, Prusax, xantikvariāts, Steps, Hotte, Kurts, Edavārdi, Rick Feds, NiklāvZ and DJ PM2AM.
The film through the lens of sixteen cameras allows you to relive the performance of the artists and see in detail such legendary hits as “Rajons”, “Cîņa”, “OZOLs”, the premiere of the brightest singles of the new album “8 pa 8”, “1979”, “Pazudušais Dēls” etc., as well as impressive performances of joint songs – “Broken heart” (edited by Don) and the title song of Gustavo’s latest album “Tagad tiki svetni” together with Čižika. The audience will also be able to take a look behind the scenes of the Arena, see the concert from the other side behind the dark curtain, feel the atmosphere and emotions that reigned in the dressing rooms of the participants of the big concert and before going on stage.
