The members of the pop studio “Jūras akmentiņi” have actively participated in several contests for young vocalists in the past weeks. Prize-winning places were obtained both in the contest “Golden voice 2024” held in Đāži, and also in the international contest “April drops 2024” held in Īslīce.
On April 13, the “Golden Voice 2024” competition for young vocalists took place in Đāži, in which the young singers of the Ventspils pop studio “Jūras akmentiņi” also participated. The competition gathered more than 100 vocal groups and soloists from all over Latvia. The youngest soloist (10-12 years old) Anna Blohina won 3rd place, in the older group (15-18 years old) soloist Kathy Feldberga (pedagogue Lucija Boitman) took part and won 1st place. In the middle group (ages 11-14), soloist Elizabete Rubīna won 2nd place. The youngest group “Sea pebbles” won the 1st rank, while the middle group “Rocks” won the 2nd place and the oldest group “Viva” also won the 2nd place. The jury this year was represented by singer Chris Noah (Krists Indrishonoks), Luka (Elizabete Lukaševica) – the 2nd place winner of “X Factor 2023” and Guntars Račs – from MicRec record company.
From April 19 to 21, the international competition of popular music performers “April drops 2024” was held for the thirteenth time at the Íslīce House of Culture. More than 600 participants from eight countries took part in the competition.
In this competition, Ventspils was represented by the group “Viva” of pop studio “Jūras akmentiņi”. In a very fierce competition (16-25 years old), the honorable 1st place was won. The jury expressed its evaluation immediately after the performance, showing a grade from 1 to 10. The international jury consisted of 14 representatives from Latvia, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
