TV3 News in Ukraine: The occupiers have gathered 20,000 troops near Chasivyar, the fighting is heavy

The situation in Chasivyar is extremely difficult, but despite this, the Ukrainian forces are holding their positions, and the Russian occupiers have not succeeded in occupying the city of Chasivyar, as previously ordered by the top leadership of the Russian army, reports the TV3 News filming team currently in Donbass.

The battles are tough, the Russian occupiers have concentrated 20,000 troops and a lot of armored vehicles at Chasivyar alone.

Another difficult stage on the Donbas front is the direction of Pokrovsk near Avdiyivka, which was occupied in February. There, Russian troops are advancing and have approached the strategically important highway leading from Pokrovsk to Kostiantynivka. This is the main supply route for Ukrainians on the eastern front.

TV3 News met with Ukrainian soldiers near Chasivyar, they said – it is felt that Russia is preparing for the predicted land offensive, which could start in a couple of weeks.

Ukrainian Armed Forces artilleryman Yaroslav told TV3 News: “Of course, we feel that they are preparing, but we are ready to meet them, we were ready to meet them with the old equipment, now we are even more ready with this one. Let’s meet as we should. If we could hold our ground and hit them with a smaller force, with what we had when they launched a full-scale invasion, we will definitely hold our own now. We have no other choice. They will not stop, they will crawl, crawl forward and continue to destroy everything in their path. All that remains behind them is rubble and everything. They don’t need people or land. Their purpose in pouring here is not clear to me, to destroy the Ukrainians, to collect the land so that it is simply theirs. Look at Bakhmut, Marinka, Avdiyivka, everything is ruined, they have no value.”

Ukrainian and Western military analysts say that the three main directions of an imminent Russian attack will be Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk region.
