“Release Ilya Anatolyevich Vityuk from the position of head of the counter-intelligence department of the Security Service of Ukraine for the protection of state interests in the field of information security,” the statement said.

At the beginning of April, investigative journalists of Slidstvo.Info found a premium-class apartment with an area of almost 200 square meters purchased from Vityuk’s wife in December 2023. The market value of such housing is more than 20 million hryvnias.

After an investigation by journalists, the SBU announced that the head of the department Vasiliy Malyuk, after examining the circumstances, suspended Vityuk from his post and sent him to the front line.

The state anti-corruption agency has started a lifestyle check “to find out the compatibility of IA Vityuk’s standard of living with the properties owned by him and his family members and their income.”

As reported, in March of this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also dismissed the long-time first assistant Serhii Shefiras and several advisers.

Shefirs held the position of first assistant to the president since 2019.

Zelensky also dismissed three of his advisers and two representatives of the president.

In recent months, Zelensky has made several changes in the government and the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, the president dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the position of secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and appointed Oleksandr Litvinenko to the post. On the other hand, in February, Zelensky released General Valery Zaluzhny from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to which Oleksandr Sirsky was appointed. Instead of Sirks, Lieutenant General Oleksandrs Pavlyuk was appointed as the commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zaluzhny was appointed ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain.
