North Korea supplies Russia with ammunition – artillery shells and ballistic missiles in large quantities, representatives of Western countries and Ukraine have repeatedly pointed out in recent months.

Speaking about Moscow’s motives in the UN Security Council vote, South Korea’s ambassador to the UN, Hwang Jungkook, said: “Right now, Russia seems to be very interested in overflying and supporting North Korea because of the supplies of ammunition and ballistic missiles it receives for waging war in Ukraine, to the detriment of the non-proliferation regime. and proper functioning of the Security Council”.

“There is no justification for disbanding the body overseeing the UN sanctions regime imposed on North Korea by numerous resolutions passed unanimously by this council.”

“It’s almost like destroying a surveillance camera to avoid being caught with physical evidence,” the diplomat said.
