Today, May 1, Valles elementary school invites the families of Bauska region to the Open Door Day, which will begin at 10 a.m. with a speech by the school management to the attendees, followed by a tour of the premises of the educational institution, as well as talks with educators.

“We will welcome everyone with pleasure, we will tell you about the opportunities and values ​​provided by our school, as well as the school concept “Child in the first place”, said Jānis Viegliņš, director of Valles elementary school.

He points out – “The child is in the 1st place” – in this motto, the Valle elementary school includes its achievable goal and the whole school’s philosophy in relations with children, parents and society. “The school was created for children, therefore the internal environment must also be child-centered. Children must feel comfortable, safe, peaceful and – most importantly – respected at school, otherwise a high-quality learning process is impossible,” notes J. Viegliņš.

The school believes that it is very important for today’s generation to feel heard and respected; horizontal relationships are important, where the teacher is a support, a source of knowledge and also a friend. Only in this way does the child open up
to the young person and gets motivation for better results, participation and initiative, which will also shape his life path further. In addition to knowledge, a student’s character and a set of qualities are also formed at school, who will be one of
the most important figures in his career.

Valles elementary school plans to offer families a school hotel service from September 1, up to 40 places will be arranged and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. The management of the educational institution is convinced that this will make it easier for students to get to school, will allow to attract additional students from Bauska region, and will also discipline many children to attend school regularly.

The school is proud of the available sports infrastructure, which allows many children to make achievements in sports. “We need people with different professions and skills in the country. Not everyone will be a mathematician. We
proud of our hockey, basketball, volleyball and other sports medals; these medals appear already in kindergarten and elementary school – when every child is aware of his talents, gifts, abilities and dreams.
The school should be supportive and teachers should be motivators. This is the case in Valles elementary school, which is why the number of students has increased by 19% during the year. This confirms the attractiveness of small schools and also the compatibility of the school’s purpose with the interests of society,” declares J. Viegliņš.

The school has created a new website www.vallespamatskola.lv, where parents can clearly see the school bus routes and travel times, as well as get acquainted with the menu. In Valles elementary school, a child can put bread in his pockets and ask for an extra portion. Children are taken care of during breaks by a caring and child-loving attendant. She makes sure the child is dressed for the weather, takes care of the children’s safety and simply talks to the children.

In order to make learning more motivating, the supporters of Valle primary school – businessmen – provide scholarships to students with high academic achievements. Cash prizes are also awarded to the best in sports and students who win in Bauska district Olympiads and competitions.
