The Cinch Championship so far:
The game between Arbroath and Queen’s Park is a match between the bottom two in the Championship with two games to go. The Gayfield side cannot improve their position, and will play in League 1 next season, however six points from their final two games could change the outlook for the visitors.

Finishing at the foot of the table was far from the minds of the supporters of both clubs who attended what was the second and third games of this season back in August. The 1-0 away win at Gayfield made it three wins from three for Queen’s Park with Arbroath responding to their successive defeats by winning their next four Championship games.

Unfortunately for The Spiders their win in Angus was their last three-point haul until January 5 with Arbroath’s season taking a turn down the road after their four-game success with only one league success seen between September 23 and March 1.

That maroon success was a high-profile one as they came back from two goals down to defeat a title-chasing Raith Rovers 3-2 at home and that game will no doubt act as a warning to Callum Davidson and his players.
Another warning for Queen’s Park is that in their last six games there has only been one goal between Arbroath and their opponents.

Black and White Fingernails could well be getting bitten!
