US shares opened today in gains (slightly before 17:00 the Standard & Poor’s 500 index had managed to grow by 0.7%), where the focus was on the announcements of companies about their previous quarter’s performance. The price of European shares also increased by about 0.8%.
The widely expected results of Tesla will have to wait a little longer – this company is expected to inform about its performance after the end of the official trading session. There is some trepidation that Tesla will reveal a rather dismal picture, with stock analysts talking about a full-fledged “nightmare quarter” for Tesla.
Today, for example, the share price of General Motors rose by 5% after better results. Analysts’ estimates were also surpassed by, for example, General Electric, whose share price also jumped by almost 5%.
Opinions about what is currently happening in the market are quite different. Goldman Sachs said today that the pullback in US stocks is far from over. On the other hand, Citigroup’s securities strategists drew attention to the fact that the shares are apparently more attractive for purchase, which should also be noted with good financial results of companies. “We would consider the recent price pullback as a buying opportunity,” according to representatives of the investment bank’s investment team, Bloomberg highlights.
Today, the price of Baltic shares in general increased by almost a third of a percent. With the publication of the financial results of the previous quarter, the share price of LHV Group increased by 0.73%. It can be judged that the investors evaluated the company’s latest financial estimate positively. LHV Group shares were also the most active trading in the Baltics today, with such turnover approaching 450 thousand. euro.
