Today in Ostrava, the Latvian ice hockey team held its first training session in the arena where the world championship matches will be held.

This morning, the national team left for Ostrava on a charter flight from Riga, while at At 18:45 Latvian time, the training of the national team started, in which 22 field players participated in the following series:

Strikers: Mārtiņš Dzierkals – Rodrigo Ābols – Kaspars Daugavins; Roberts Bukarts – Oskars Batnia – Rihards Bukarts; Miks Indrasis – Raivis Ansons – Renārs Krastenbergs; Félix Gavar – Harald Egle – Eduards Tralmaks, 13th forward Dan Lochmelis.

Defenders: Kristaps Zīle – Jānis Jaks; Kārlis Čukste – Ralfs Freiberg; Markus Komuls – Roberts Mamcic; Arvils Bergmanis – Oskars Cibulskis.

The team will practice tomorrow as well, while on May 11 at At 17:20 Latvian time, the first match of the national team is scheduled, in which our team will play against Poland.

It should be reminded that Lochmelis, who is disqualified from the U20 World Championship, will not be able to help the national team in the first two matches.
