• After an unsuccessful start to the series, in which the Dallas “Stars” lost the first two games at home, the Texans managed to turn the series in their favor against the current Stanley Cup champion Las Vegas “Golden Knights”. Thursday night stars won at home with 3:2, thus achieving the same result (3-2) in the entire series.

• A major flurry of goals was experienced in the first 13 minutes of the game, when each team scored two goals. An individual raid across the middle zone was made by William Carrier, who threw the puck into the zone and rushed after it himself. From the gate, the Canadian pushed the puck into the corner of the goal, making the score 2:2.

• The winning goal for the Stars was scored by Jason Robertson, who made a rebound late in the second period in the numerical majority, sending the puck past Nevada guard Edin Hill in a cage – 3:2. Robertson, the author of the winning goal, was also recognized as the first star of the game, while “Stars” goalkeeper Jake Ettinger, who saved 25 of 27 shots from the opponents, was awarded the third star honor.

• The sixth and possibly final game of the series between the “Stars” and “Golden Knights” will take place on Saturday morning.

• The Edmonton “Oilers” became the fifth team to reach the second round of the Stanley Cup last night, defeating the Los Angeles “Kings” 4-3 at home, thus celebrating a 4-1 victory in the entire series.

• “Oilers” hockey players were in the lead at the beginning of the second period with the score 1:2. The main star of the match was the German hockey player Leon Draisaitl, who together with his colleagues moved out “Kings” defense and tied the score with a majority goal. Draisaitl himself also made a shot that allowed the Oilers to take control of the game.

• Still in the second period after the majority ended, Zack Heyman tricked the puck into the goal, giving Edmonton a two-goal lead. In the third period, the only goal of the “Kings” could not change the outcome of the game, allowing the “Oilers” to win 4-3 in the game and 4-1 in the entire series.
