“Holte” became the champion for the 19th time.

In the Czech Republic, “Kladno” represented by Platac won bronze medals. On their court, Kladno volleyball players Pršibrams “Trox” won with 3-2 (25:16, 25:19, 28:30, 22:25, 22:20), and away – with 3-1 (25:18, 25:19 , 23:25, 25:22), celebrating a 2-0 success in the series.

Platac became the top scorer of the match in both matches. In the first game, he scored 24 points, collecting five of them with a block and a point with a serve, as well as converting 18 of 33 attacks into points. In the second match, the Latvian volleyball player scored 22 points, collecting two points with a block, as well as converting 20 of 36 attacks into points.

In the Austrian championship, “Aich”/”Dob” of Bleiburg, represented by Dzenas, won the third place, winning the series with 2-1. At home, the Bleiburg team defeated Cvetla’s “Union Waldviertel” with 3-2 (25:17, 25:20, 22:25, 24:26, 15:10), but on the road they celebrated the victory with 3-0 (25:23, 26 :24, 25:19).

In the first match, Dzenis scored two out of nine points with a block, one – with a serve, and was effective in six out of 11 attacks. In the second game, he was productive in half of 10 attacks.

“Amstetten NO” represented by Markus Cielava suffered a loss in the second game in the fight for the seventh place, losing the series 0-2. “Amstetten NO” lost to “Sokol/Post” from Vienna with 1-3 (25:27, 25:22, 23:25, 21:25), but Cielavs was not included in the application.

In the Estonian championship, the bronze medals were won by “Parna” represented by Švan, who defeated Tartu “Bigbank” represented by Andras Shiryakov with 3-1 (25:21, 27:25, 22:25, 25:21) and won the series for bronze medals by 3 -2.

With 12 scored points, Schvan became the second highest scorer in the team, while Shiryakov shared the laurels of the top scorer of the Tartu unit. Schwan collected two points on a block, one on a serve, and also attacked with 82% efficiency – nine points in 11 attacks. Shiryakov scored 11 points on 28 attacks, adding two more points on a block.

It has already been reported that “Jastrzebski Wegiel” of Jastšembe Zdruja, represented by Edwin Skrüder, became the champion of Poland on Sunday.

Led by Latvian coach Uģ Krastiņš, “Barkom-Kažanis” with Denis Petrova and Kristera Dardzāns in the battle for the 11th place are away with 0-3 (19:25, 15:25, 13:25) and at home with 1-3 (21: 25, 25:15, 21:25, 18:25) lost to Suwalka “Shlepsk”, losing the series 0-2.

Petrov scored a point in the only attack in the first match, and in the second game he had one point in three attacks.

In the first game, Dardzhan went on the field as a substitute, scoring a point in the only attack, but in the second he was announced as a “libero” without going on the field.

In the semifinals of the French Premier League (Ligue A), “Metropole” of Turkuana – Lille, represented by Gustav Freimanis, lost 1-2 to “Atlantique” of Saint-Nazaire. First, “Metropole” lost at home with 1-3 (25:22, 26:28, 14:25, 22:25), then away with 3-1 (20:25, 25:19, 25:21, 25:18 ) beat their opponents, but in the last match at home, they lost 1-3 (25:22, 20:25, 19:25, 20:25) to the club where Latvian volleyball player Reinis Pekmans used to play.

In the first match, Freimanis entered the court for a change in the second set, scoring four points until the end of the match. He made three of 12 attacks and scored a point with a block. In the second game, he scored nine points, sharing the laurels of the team’s second leading scorer. He collected two points on a block and was effective on seven of ten attacks. In the third game, Freimanis scored three points in four attacks in the first two sets.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship team represented by Mika Janis Ramanis defeated the Brigham Young University (BYU) Cougars in the quarterfinals of their conference (MPSF) on the road 2-3 (25:20, 25:27, 28:26, 27:29, 16:18) lost to the University of Southern California. The Latvian scored 19 points in attack, as well as two points with serve.

“Cougars” volleyball players have won 16 victories in 25 matches this season.

The volleyball player’s performance was also evaluated by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), noting the Latvian’s performance, even though he is not included in the symbolic selections. Ramanis was also named to his conference’s (MPSF) second all-season team.

This season, Ramanis scored 239 points in attack, played 108 times in defense, accumulated 24 runs and 36 blocks.

In the first league of Poland, the unit of Jaroslava “SAN-Pajda”, represented by Rzesz Mazury-Mago, lost 1-2 to Mogilno “Sokol” in the quarter-final series, losing 0-3 away from home in the third match (23:25, 17:25, 18:25).
