Bad realization of moments was one of the main causes of failure. The Latvian national ice hockey team, preparing for the 2024 World Championship (WC) in the Czech Republic, lost to Switzerland 1:5 and 0:4 in two test matches away from home. Renars Krastenbergs scored the only goal. Friday and Saturday Arena Riga the last two test matches before the WC with Norway.
In the first game, four turnovers in the second period were the reason for the loss. The head coach of the Latvian national team, Harijs Vītoliņš, emphasized the need to improve performance in the power play on the portal lhf.lv.
