Runners from the Cēsis side have shown good results in the second stage of the popular trail running series “Suitu land Stirnu buks”. It took place on the side of Alsunga and gathered 3268 participants.
In the overall ranking of the students’ championship, two of the fastest in the first ten are from our region: Dairis Mocāns from Vidzeme Technical School of Technology and Design is in third place, and Kristiāns Ezeriņš from Vecpiebalga High School is in seventh place.
The following achievements in individual age groups: in the S10 group, Adele Miller (“Noskrien Cēsis”); in the V12 group 5. Gustavs Krieviņš (FK “Vaivīte”); in S12 group 5. Alice Krastiņa (“Frozen”); in the V14 group, in 2nd place, losing only two seconds to the winner, Kristiāns Ezeriņš (Vecpiebalga High School); in the V20 group 2. Dairis Mocāns (VTDT).
Anita Ieviņa (Cēsis) won the main race in the distance “Zaķis” SZ4 group; in VZ2 group 2. Pēteris Grīviņš (“Trailinity); In VZ4 group 3. Ivars Orashevskis (Cēsi county). Raitis Jurgensons (“Noskrien Cēsis”) won the distance “Stirnu buks” in the VB2 group.
In the evaluation of the teams, “Noskrien Cēsis” is currently in 12th place among 58 teams that have scored points in the first two stages.
Already this weekend, April 27, the 2024 highway running season will be opened in Cēsu Pils Park with the race “Around Cēsīm”!
