“Real” is getting closer to the “Final 4” with a safe victory, PAO is confidently rehabilitating

On Thursday, the Real Madrid team won the ULEB Euroleague basketball in the second game of the quarterfinals and came one success away from reaching the Final Four tournament. In a duel between two Spanish teams, the Madrid team beat Vitoria “Baskonia” 101:90 at home and reached 2-0 in the series up to three victories.

In the “Real” team, Facundo Capmazzo scored 24 points and gave seven assists, Gershon Jabussel had 18 points, Setrhi Juja – 13 points, Walter Tavares scored ten points and won nine rebounds, Vincent Poirier collected 10+7 in these indicators, also ten points scored by Gabriel Deck.

Vani Marinkovic had 20 points for Baskonia, Cody Miller-McIntyre added 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds, while Marcus Howard scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, “Panathinaikos” of Athens reached 1-1 in the series, which defeated “Maccabi” of Tel Aviv at home with the result 95:79. Kost Sluk had a career-high 29 points for Athens, Yannis Papapetrou had 15 points, Konstantin Mitoglu had 14 points, Matias Lessor had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Kendrick Nunn added 10 points.

For the opponents, Lorenzo Brown scored 18 points, Anthony Cleveland and Jake Cohen scored 12 each, and Tamir Blatt had 11 points. Brown and Blatt each also had six assists.

In the other quarter-finals, Piraeus Olympiacos beat Barcelona and Istanbul Fenerbahce beat Monaco in the first legs on Wednesday. In the ULEB Euroleague, 18 teams played a two-round tournament, the best six entered the elimination tournament, while the seventh to tenth place winners secured a place in the “play-in” games. The final four tournament will take place in Berlin this season.
