Sales of the modernized GV70, which premiered in April, have started in South Korea. In the local market, its price starts at 53.8 million won, which is about 36,600 euros.
As part of the upgrade, the Genesis GV70 has received a redesigned grille, 19-inch wheels and matrix headlights, while the main innovation in the cabin is a new steering wheel and a combined gauge/media screen in the 37-inch format that it shares with the larger GV80.
Engine options now include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline turbo engine developing 304 horsepower, as well as a 3.5 twin-turbo six-cylinder unit with 380 horsepower, while the 202-horsepower 2.2-liter turbodiesel is no longer available after modernization.
The mid-size crossover Genesis GV70 has been on the market since 2020. It is relatively popular in South Korea, as evidenced by the sales volume – plus 17 percent in 2023.
The family also has an electric version GV70 Electrified, which, unlike the internal combustion engine GV70, has not yet been modernized. This model has two electric motors with a total power of 489 hp, but on a single charge it travels 500 km according to the Chinese CLTC or 400 km according to the Korean methodology.
