In order to get from the Danish city of Copenhagen to the Swedish city of Malmö, instead of 10 minutes, I had to spend 40 minutes at the border. This time the ID card was not enough, the border control demanded passports.

“Already in the early hours of the morning, posters appeared in Malmö and Copenhagen with an invitation to gather at 15:30 for a protest in the center of Malmö at Stortorget square. Although the place of the protest is three kilometers away, it is said that the protesters could march all the way to the arena, where the Eurovision fans gathered,” explains Jānis.

Protesters are gathering in a large circle at Stortorget Square, they have provided themselves with flags, posters, decorations and shout various slogans.
Despite the special atmosphere, the biggest Eurovision fans are already rushing to the arena to enjoy the festive atmosphere throughout the day.
