Mercedes-AMG has announced the CLE 53 4-Matic+ convertible, which will be launched in the second half of 2024.

The manufacturer informs that the four-seater Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4-Matic+ Cabriolet is equipped with a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine, an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor. The power unit develops 449 HP of power and 560 Nm of torque, while the 48V hybrid system and Integrated starter generator temporarily provide an additional 23 HP of power and 205 Nm of torque. The package is completed by a modified 9G Speedshift gearbox, adaptive all-wheel drive and an active rear axle with wheel steering.

Compared to the regular Mercedes model, the AMG version has slimmer fenders and is wider spur. They are almost six centimeters in the front, and seven and a half centimeters in the back. The maximum speed of the car is 250 km/h, but the optional AMG Driver’s Package raises it to 270 km/h.

The cabriolet’s interior features, among other things, a 12.3-inch driver’s display and an 11.9-inch central display that can be electrically tilted from 15 to 40 degrees to avoid glare when the roof is down.

To ensure that the leather seats do not get too hot in the summer, they have a special coating that reflects the sun’s infrared rays. This means that such material stays up to 12 degrees cooler than untreated standard leather when exposed to direct sunlight. Even when the top is closed, the interior heats up less thanks to the cool seat covers.

Mercedes has not announced the prices yet, but it is known that the acceptance of orders starts in the summer, and the CLE 53 4-Matic+ convertible will hit the market in the second half of the year.
