Several sources have reported that the Chinese authorities are going to allow the use of the Tesla Full Self-Drive driving assistance system in the country. For now, this system is available in North America, because it is for this region that the system was originally developed. In many parts of the world, the legislation that regulates autonomous driving assistance systems is not yet settled, but the Chinese are among those who are playing with various such things themselves, testing them for companies in this country.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk just made a visit to Beijing and met with several high-ranking Chinese officials. One of the sources reporting that the FSD system is allowed to be used in China is the business media Bloomberg.

However, Tesla’s agreement with China provides for certain reservations and conditions that are not made public. It is known that the automaker has agreed with Baidu on the use of maps and navigation, and Tesla has also settled the issues of how they manage and store various data in China. Tesla has had some problems in this matter and the Chinese authorities have even banned the entry of these cars in certain places, worried about possible espionage for the United States. However, Chinese media reports that this problem has been solved and there are no more disagreements.
