Telegram plans to become the go-to business communication app

--

Telegram is not as popular a messaging app as WhatsApp, but in some ways that might change soon. “Telegram” plans to lure companies to it by launching several features useful for business communication. The messaging service recently announced the new “Telegram Business” functionality, which allows users to turn their account into a business account and access options that ensure easier and faster communication with customers.

Telegram Business users can specify working hours in their profile and mark their location on the map. Businesses also have the option to customize their profile homepage and share information about their products and services in the chat section, giving customers a glimpse of what’s on offer even before they get in touch. To make it easier to answer multiple questions, Telegram Business accounts can also create and save preset messages that they can send as quick replies. We cannot fail to mention the “Telegram Bot” artificial intelligence robot that will help in communication with customers.

With this rich set of business features, Telegram is becoming a more attractive messaging app for businesses, surpassing the likes of WhatsApp. In order to access these above mentioned features, the user needs to purchase a “Telegram Premium” subscription which costs $5 per month.

In addition to the new business functions, Telegram has informed that channel owners are given 50% of the advertising revenue placed on their channels. Here, however, there is a condition that the channel must collect at least 1000 subscribers.
