The Russian authorities have detained the suspected “financier” of the terrorist attack at the Moscow concert hall, claiming that Ukraine paid the attackers “large sums”, tv3.lv writes, referring to “The Moscow Times”.
It should be reminded that the “Islamic State” took responsibility for the attack. This does not stop the top Russian officials from blaming Ukraine and the West for the terrorist attack. Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Thursday that it had obtained “verifiable information that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack received significant sums of money and cryptocurrency from Ukraine, which were used in the preparation of the crime.”
“The connection of the detained terrorists with Ukrainian nationalists was established by checking their electronic devices and analyzing financial transactions,” explained the committee.
Ukraine itself and its Western allies have characterized the occupiers’ accusations as absurd lies and “propaganda”.
It has already been reported that on March 22, armed people opened fire and set fire to the music venue in the Piemaskova concert hall, killing at least 143 people and injuring hundreds more.
