Daugavpils hiking day 2024

Saturday, May 11 at 10.00 The Tourism Department of the Public Relations and Tourism Department of the Daugavpils State City Municipality invites you to participate in the “Daugavpils Hiking Day 2024”. The first stage of the hike will be the Great Hive Lake – Daugavpils Fortress, where we invite active hiking enthusiasts and those who like peaceful walks to an 8.5 km long adventure.

Gathering of participants from 9.40 on the central beach of the Great Hive Lake. After receiving the instructions and introductions, the pedestrians of the 8.5 km route will start their journey. The hike will be led by the guide Arthur Fischer, who will tell interesting facts about the environmental and man-made objects along the route. We will also enjoy Daugavpils’ peaceful nature, fresh air and blooming spring!

Participation in the hike is free. We invite you to take water with you. At the end, there will be an opportunity to treat yourself to pies and tea.
