Last year, the salary of Ogre County Mayor Helmanis in the city council increased by 36%

Last year, the salary of the chairman of the Ogre County Council, Egils Helmanis (NA), increased by 36%, reaching 64,477 euros, according to the state official’s declaration submitted to the State Revenue Service.

Last year, the salary in the city council and 1.67 euros of income from interest in “SEB Bank” were the mayor’s only income, compared to 2022, when he was also the state adviser of the Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards (NA) on several industry issues on a half-time basis, receiving a salary of 19,747 euro.

He owns two real estates in Jaunjelgava and Mengeles parishes, as well as one real estate in Tīnūžu parish. Ogre has a structure for his use. Helmanim uses a car “BMW X5” manufactured in 2007, while he owns a car “BMW X5 XDrive30D” manufactured in 2022. He owns the cutter “SEA RAY 240SSE” manufactured in 2006.

Helmanis declared a savings of EUR 27,049 in AS “SEB banka”.

The chairman of the Ogre County Council lent a total of 136,102 euros, but at the same time Helmanis owes 350,000 US dollars, or approximately 318,745 euros and 27,370 euros.
