The Tavi friends association has received the largest financial donation so far

The society will direct the donated funds to the needs of the Lviv organization “Народна Самооборона Львівщини”, providing support to Ukrainian citizens who suffered in the attacks, as well as providing equipment and equipment to the soldiers on the front.

Ulvis Noviks, head of the “Tavi draugi” association, states that Ukrainian colleagues, volunteers in Lviv and elsewhere in Ukraine have been working tirelessly since 2014, so they know who and what kind of support is most urgently needed. The needs of soldiers on the front are specific because they need equipment that cannot be purchased by everyone, such as drones, cars, medical equipment necessary for the operation of military hospitals and other things. The first shipment of donations, made up of a part of the amount donated by “Circle K”, will soon be on its way to Ukraine.

During the campaign from April 1st to April 21st, when customers bought a coffee drink at any “Circle K” gas station in Latvia, “Circle K” donated ten cents from each purchased drink to the society.

As Armands Žubulis, retail director of “Circle K Latvia”, says, the campaign is proof of how much we as a society can achieve to support others. He thanked every customer who stopped by for a coffee, participated and supported this initiative. The joint donation will help Ukrainian soldiers at the front with constantly needed equipment and resources.

The association states that support for Ukraine is still relevant and important. The needs of the military and civilians change with the seasons, but donations are always needed for sleeping bags, quick food, comfortable men’s clothing, and hygiene items for adults and children.

“Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine continues – the activity of donors is decreasing, but there are still many needs. That is why we are touched by the activity of the participants of the “Circle K” charity campaign and are grateful for every euro donated. This is a significant donation that will allow us to continue helping the victims of the attacks in Ukraine citizens and soldiers at the front,” emphasizes Novik.

“Your Friends” supports Ukraine in cooperation with the Lviv organization “Народна Самооборона Львівщини”, providing residents and soldiers with daily necessities, including comfortable clothes, easy and quick food and other essential goods on demand and according to the season.

The fuel retail company “Circle K Latvia” was registered in 1992, and its share capital is 27.564 million euros, according to “Firmas.lv” information. The owner of the company is “Circle K”, registered in Norway. The turnover of “Circle K Latvia” in the financial year, which lasted from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023, was 622.612 million euros, which is 35% more than the year before, but the company’s profit decreased by 13.7% – up to 7.833 million euros.

The association “Tavi draugi” provides coordinated humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian residents in Latvia and Ukraine, organizing and coordinating the voluntary involvement of Latvian residents, organizations and companies in providing assistance. Until the day the war started, the association provided help and support to families who were in need or faced problems here in Latvia, but since the first day of the war, the focus has rapidly changed to providing assistance to Ukraine. Among them, assistance was also provided to the refugees of the Ukrainian war at the border points between Latvia and Russia.
