This year, TV3 Group Latvija manager Mindaugas Rakauskas, one of the leaders of the ceremony, Edijs Boš, and representatives of cooperation partners – Riga Freeport manager Ansis Zeltiņš and Rimi Latvia public relations manager Inga Bite welcomed the laureates in the “KOYA” restaurant this year. Nine out of ten last year’s laureates came to the luncheon. During the meeting, there were toasts, songs, and, of course, words of thanks. The laureates emphasized that such a meeting in a free atmosphere is a great opportunity to get to know each other much better, because there is great excitement on the day of the ceremony.
The meeting of the laureates also marked the start of the “Pride of Latvia” candidate application campaign. Also this year, the solemn honoring ceremony will take place on the day of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia on November 18. Anyone can apply for the award until July 14.
Recipients of the “Pride of Latvia” award in 2023:
- Didzis Dreimanis received the award in the “Jaunietis” nomination
- In the nomination “Man to man” the award went to Inara Olena
- In the nomination “Fighter” the award went to Alla Belinska
- In the nomination “Novadnieks” the award went to Alda Alberte
- Fritsis Gustavs Alliks received the award in the “Inspirer” nomination
- Yuri Kapustins received the award in the nomination “More than duty requires”.
- Aivars Skudra received the award in the “Teacher” nomination
- Mareta Bērziņa-Meirāne received the prize in the “Work of the Heart” nomination
- Laila and Guntis Skrodelis received the award in the “Rescuers” nomination
- In the nomination “One for all, all for one” the prize went to the residents of Jēkabpils
