On Saturday, May 11, three festival bands will play in the Great Guild Latvian New Music Days concerts. at 16 pianist Roberts Fleits will play the opus of Linda Leimanes, Ernests Valtas Circenis, Krista Auznieks, Jānis Petraškevičs, Ruta Paideras and Pēteras Vaskas. at 17 Trio Fable – clarinetist Anna Gāgane, cellist Kristaps Bergs and pianist Linda Leine – will play the music of Oskar Herliņš, Georg Pelēčas, Krista Auznieks, Andras Dzenīš and Žaneta Spirkas. at 19 State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Riga under the leadership of conductor Normunds Shne, will interpret the new works of Edgars Mäkens, Santas Bušs, Armandas Skukis and Asja Ahmetžanova. Vestards Šimkus will play solo in the premiere of Ilona Bregė’s Third Piano Concerto.

Premiere. Director Dmitrijs Petrenko has staged a play by Canadian dramatist Nikolas Bijon in Liepāja theater Elephant song. In this work, the director continues to study the emotional world of teenagers, how the social environment and parents influence the development of a young person, his ability to integrate into society, develop and grow. The conversation between Michael, a patient of the psychiatric clinic, and Dr. Greenberg, the director of the clinic, will involve the audience in a subtle psychological game, in which both characters will experience unexpected revelations. Where does truth end and manipulation begin? Cast: Kārlis Ārglis, Edgars Ozoliņš and Karīna Tatarinova.
