The German air cargo carrier “Lufthansa Cargo” has started regular cargo flights to RIX Riga Airport, which thus becomes the first Baltic airport with which “Lufthansa Cargo” forms a regular direct cargo connection.
The opening of regular cargo flights will allow Latvian manufacturers to plan better and reach new markets faster in the “Lufthansa Cargo” cargo network, as well as for local entrepreneurs to import goods from other countries more conveniently and quickly at competitive prices. The advantage of cargo flights is the ability to simultaneously transport larger loads without dividing them into several flights, and the ability to transport bulky cargo that cannot be accommodated in passenger aircraft, explains RIX Riga Airport

“Lufthansa Cargo” cargo flights to Riga will take place once a week using Airbus A321F aircraft with a maximum cargo capacity of 28 tons.
