“We, the teachers, have training courses. What can lecturers dressed like this teach. I am shocked. Maybe we should take etiquette courses [Red – nerediģēts autores teksts],” wrote R. Urtāne.

She added photos to the post, which show the mentioned lecturers in tight clothes.

After this post, journalist Inese Supe contacted its author, because she wanted to find out more about the woman’s opinion, as well as whether she considers such public mocking to be normal. Unfortunately, Inese was then blocked and the teacher deleted her last posts from Facebook.

Inese Supe does not hide her surprise: “This is published by a professor! Yes, a lady who thinks it’s okay to make fun of another in public! Question. How does this professor evaluate her students, who certainly do not come to lectures dressed in a classical style! I am against “hate” on the Internet and in the comments!”

The comments on the teacher’s original post were two-fold – many expressed support for the author and were also horrified by women’s clothing, while others condemned such evaluation based on external appearance.

On the other hand, in the post of Ines Supes with screenshots from the teacher’s post, commentators sharply condemn such behavior in the public environment, criticizing the external appearance of other people.

LA.LV will continue to bring up the topic of “haters” in the Internet environment, gathering the thoughts of well-known people on this topic and clarifying experts’ opinions and recommendations on how to act in such situations.
