On May 5, at 11:00 a.m., the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia, Armands Krauze, will visit and congratulate the Latvian Plant Parade, also opening the auction of rare plants dedicated to charity.

On both days of the Jubilee Plant Parade, there will be a beautiful bog trail, which was created in cooperation with the Latvian National Peat Society, it will contain informative stories about the formation, use and after-use of peat, as well as games and attractions for young and old visitors to the Plant Parade, in cooperation with the Riga Zoo.

Visitors and participants will enjoy three exhibitions. The first “Profile of a Latvian gardener”, where we will find out what a Latvian gardener is like, what are the typical nurseries of Latvia, compared to other countries.

The second will be a photo exhibition dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the event, where we invite our visitors to get involved and respond by sending photos from Latvian Plant Parades, with an indication of which one it was, and we will provide beautiful and tasty prizes for the senders.

The third exhibition will be dedicated to the topic of peat, where we will show the first results for peat substrates with various additives, such as wood fiber, straw and reeds.
