The Ministry of Health (MoH) has submitted a draft order for approval, which foresees the redistribution of appropriations for 2024 in the amount of 30.6 million euros for the payment of compensable medicines and materials.

The Ministry has developed an informative report in which it made proposals for improving the availability of reimbursable medicines, including the provision of additional funding to cover the deficit of reimbursable medicines for 2024, in order to ensure the continuity of medical treatment and the development of the medicine compensation system, which provides for the payment of new reimbursable medicines and the expansion of compensation conditions for medicines already on the list of compensable medicines.

The order envisages the redistribution of 15.9 million euros to cover the deficit of compensable medication expenses for 2024 and to ensure the continuity of medication treatment. Another 5.3 million euros are planned to be redistributed for the payment of new compensable medicines, and 9.3 million – for expanding the compensation conditions for the medicines already on the list of compensable medicines.

Funding is planned to be redistributed from the funding redistributed during the annual state budget execution process.
