On April 26, the Great Cleanup began for the day care center for persons with mental disorders at Arhitektu Street 21, the “Saskarsme” Day Center at Liepājas Street 4, and the employees and customers of Group apartments.
There is a large adjacent area near the Grupu apartment building on 18. Novembra street 354v, which should be arranged every year by planting flowers and creating beds for planting greens and vegetables. Weather conditions have made it possible to do it with more joy and enthusiasm. But after the cleaning, there was a joint lunch, for which the clients and employees of Group Apartments had already prepared delicious pickled cucumber soup in the morning.
In the day care center on Arhitektu street 21, they also arranged and beautified the territory, planted plants and installed flower beds.
The territory of the day center at Liepājas Street 4 was cleaned earlier, today they cleaned the interior: washed the windows, performed wet cleaning, handled the sanitary treatment of sports and other equipment.
On April 27, cleaning will continue for clients and employees of Patversme Šaurajá Street 23, Social Houses Šaurajá Street 28, and Social Apartments Šaurajá Street 26. They will traditionally go to clean the territory of the former Artillery base. The employees of the social assistance department and other social service departments and sectors will join the joint cleanup of the Daugavpils state city municipality in Mežciem.
In total, about 120 employees and clients of the Social Service will participate in the Great Cleanup-2024.
