“ParkExpert” fines a disabled person for leaving a car in a disabled parking space

The parking spaces near the Central Market are managed by a private company – “Park expert”, which after about two months sent information to Sergej that a large fine of 30 euros was given for not paying for the use of the parking space.

The notification is accompanied by a photo recording that Sergej entered and left the territory with a motor vehicle. Although the regulations in the parking lot indicate that the special parking space for the disabled is free, and a camera is placed directly above these spaces, the company has not provided any evidence that Sergej parked the vehicle in another parking space.

It is not a story about 30 euros, although it is money. They don’t have any controllers, they just rely on the camera to tell me that I have entered the parking area. They do not send me any evidence that the car was not parked in a disabled parking space. What have I been fined for? The appropriate permit was placed on the front panel. I also sent it to them, but they refuse to cancel the penalty.

Sergej points out that “ParkExpert” not only refuses to cancel the fine, but also has already transferred this case to debt collectors, as a result of which the amount of the debt has increased to almost 40 euros.

The representatives of “ParkExpert” ignore the request of “Bez Tabu” to explain why a disabled person was fined for parking in a parking space intended for disabled people. Sergej states that after contacting “Bez Tabu” the company suddenly changed its position and canceled the penalty.
