The Prime Minister, “Jaunās Vienotības” politician Evika Siliņa demanded that the state security authorities check Kadžulis’ statements, but the Minister of Justice, party member Inese Lībiņa-Egnere called them absurd and undermining Latvia’s statehood. On the other hand, Kampars commented on the accusations briefly – he does not want to prove that he is not a pink elephant.

The Office for the Protection of the Constitution (SAB) informed that neither Kadžulis nor SIA “SOAAR” received a submission regarding the incitement to influence the election results. There have also been no anonymous submissions. Also, the Office for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption confirmed that there have been no submissions on such topics.

Meanwhile, Kažulis claimed to the LETA agency after these statements of the relevant authorities that he had twice reported verbally to SAB employees about Kampar’s attempt to influence the results of “Vienotības” in the 2014 Saeima elections, who recorded this information in writing.

The President Edgars Rinkēvičs has instructed the Prosecutor General to investigate the allegations of possible interference in the election process.
