Already on May 2, the association Cita Daugavpils invites the city’s residents to the first neighborhood think tank “Our place – another thing!”, which will take place in Griv.
Neighborhoods are units of division of the administrative territory of our city. Each neighborhood is characterized by its geographical location, unique cultural history, natural and urban resources, and community of residents. In the territorial planning of the city of Daugavpils, it is determined that there are 25 neighborhoods in the city. Some neighborhoods are active, their representatives have created associations that help improve the living space of the neighborhood by implementing local initiatives. Residents of other neighborhoods have begun to form their own neighborhood communities, united by common living space, needs, and resources. How we feel in our neighborhood affects how we feel in our city. And our positive feelings increase our quality of life.
The place where we live is our home. Therefore, the association Cita Daugavpils invites you to participate in neighborhood think tanks.Our place is another matter!“, what will happen:
on May 2 at 17.30 in the vicinity of Griva: J. Raina Daugavpils 6th elementary school, Komunālā street 2,
on May 16 at 17.30 In the vicinity of Jaunforstadt: Daugavpils at Drauzgīga aicačinas secondary school, Aveņu street 40,
on May 30 at 17.30 In the chemical neighborhood: Daugavpils Culture Palace, Smilšu Street 92.
Don’t be a stranger, come to the neighborhood think tank and invite your neighbors along.
Together, we will be able to meet and get to know each other, i.e. the residents of our neighborhood, hear the most interesting stories of our neighborhood, discover what is important to you and other residents, create your desired future scenarios for the development of the neighborhood, discuss together what we can create in Daugavpils, and enjoy a picnic. with healthy and delicious snacks.
We are waiting for everyone in each of the think tanks. You can live, work, be interested in one of the neighborhoods or simply want to meet neighborhood activists. Let’s become our own! Dress comfortably. If the weather is good, we will work outside.
