The motorcycle season will open on Saturday; Traffic restrictions are expected in Riga

On Saturday, April 27, during the opening race of the motorcycling season, changes are expected on several public transport routes.

on April 27 from 13.00 until about At 14.00 from the “Mols” shopping center, further along Krasta Street, Dienudi tilta, Ziepniekkalns Street, Mūkusalas Street, Kuģi Street, Trijādības Street, Ranķa Dam, Daugavgrīvas Street to Spilve Airport, the opening race of the motorcycle season will be organized. Consequently, there will be changes in certain public transport routes.

Route 10 buses

In the direction of Abrenes Street, it will run along the route up to Kārļas Ulmaņas Street, further along Kārļas Ulmaņas Street, Bauskas Street, Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valgumas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further along the route.

The stops “Bieķensalas iela”, “Laivu iela”, “Mūkusala” and “Kīleveina gravis” on Mūkusalas iela, as well as “National library” on Kuģu iela will be closed on the route. In the direction to the center, the bus will stop at the stops “Koku iela”, “Satiksmes iela”, “Bieķensalas iela” and “LU Academic Center” on Jelgava street, as well as “National Library” on Uzvaras boulevard.

In the direction of Jaunmārupi, it will run along the route to Akmens tilto, further along Akmens tilto, Uzvaras boulevard, Valguma iela, Akmeņu iela, Mūkusalas iela and further along the route.

The “National Library” stop on Kuģu street will be closed on the route. In the direction from the center, the bus will stop at the tram stop “National library” on Uzvaras boulevard.

Route 23 buses

In the direction of Abrenes Street, it will run along the route to Jelgavas Street, further along Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valgumas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further along the route.

The “National Library” stop on Kuģu Street will be closed on the route. In the direction to the center, the bus will stop at the “National Library” stop on Uzvaras boulevard.

In the direction of Baloži, it will run along the route up to Akmens tilto, further along Akmens tilto, Uzvaras boulevard, Valguma iela, Akmenu iela, Jelgavas iela and further along the route.

The “National Library” stop on Kuģu Street will be closed on the route. In the direction from the center, the bus will stop at the tram stop “National library” on Uzvaras boulevard.

Route 26 buses

In the direction of Abrenes Street, it will run along the route to Jelgavas Street, further along Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valgumas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further along the route.

The stops “Laivu iela”, “Mūkusala” and “Kīleveina gravis” on Mūkusala street, as well as “National library” on Kuģu street will be closed on the route. In the direction to the center, buses will stop at the “LU Academic Center” bus stops on Jelgava Street and “National Library” on Uzvaras Boulevard.

Route 26 buses in the direction of Katlakalni will run along the route to Akmens tilto, further along Akmens tilto, Uzvaras boulevard, Valguma iela, Akmenu iela, Mūkusalas iela and further along the route.

The “National Library” stop on Kuģu street will be closed on the route. In the direction from the center, the bus will stop at the tram stop “National library” on Uzvaras boulevard.

Route 4 trolleybuses

From Jugla to Ziepniekkalna and from Ziepniekkalna to Jugla will run straight across the Salu bridge, without entering the Mūkusala rotation circle.

The “Mūkusala rotary circle” stop will be closed on the route in both directions, while the “Lucavsala” stop will be served in both directions.

Route 19 trolleybuses

From Pētersalas iela to Ziepniekalni and from Ziepniekkalns to Pētersalas iela will run straight across the Sala bridge, without entering the Mūkusala rotation circle.

The “Mūkusala roundabout” stop will be closed in both directions, while the “Lucavsala” stop will be served in both directions.

Route 27 trolleybuses

In the direction to Station square, it will run along the route to Jelgava street, further along Jelgava street, Akmeņu street, Valguma street, Uzvaras boulevard, Akmens bridge and further along the route to Station square.

It will run to Ziepniekalni along the route to Akmens tilto, further along Akmens tilto, Uzvaras boulevard, Valguma iela, Akmenu iela, Mūkusalas iela and further along the route.

The stops “Laivu iela”, “Mūkusala” and “Kīleveina gravis” towards the center, as well as “National Library” will be closed in both directions. In the direction from the center, trolleybuses will stop at the tram stops “Nacionalā bibliotēka” and “LU Akadēmiskais centrs”, and in the direction of the center at the “Nacionālā bibliotēka” stop on Uzvaras boulevard.

The State Police will temporarily close the movement of vehicles at certain stages during the journey. Therefore, temporary disruptions in the timetable of public transport are possible.

On the 3rd bus route towards Daugavgrīva and Pļavnieki at Ranķa Dam, Daugavgrīvas Street and near Spilve Airport.

on the 12th bus route in the direction of “Ziedonis” Cooperative in Krasta Street.

on bus route 13 in the direction of Babīte station in Ranķa dam and Daugavgrīvas street.

on the 23rd bus route in the direction of Abrenes Street in Bauskas Street near Piena Kombinata.
