From +20 degrees to snowfall! This week the weather will change drastically and every day will bring something new

Under the influence of the cyclone, precipitation is expected in Latvia on Wednesday, which will be heavy in some places, and gusty wind. Rain will turn into snow, forecasters predict.

In the eastern part of the country, starting from the night of Wednesday and starting from the south, rain showers are expected, thunder will rumble in places, hail and strong gusts of wind are also possible. On Wednesday, heavy rain will change to heavy snow in some places.

There will be less precipitation in the western and central regions of Latvia. The northwest wind will increase in gusts to 10-15 meters per second, gusts up to 20 meters per second are expected on the coast, thus a blizzard is also expected.

Part of the country will be temporarily covered by a blanket of snow, roads will become slippery.

The air temperature on Wednesday afternoon will be -1..+4 degrees, on Thursday morning a frost of a few degrees is expected in almost the entire country, while the maximum temperature on Thursday will be 0..+7 degrees. No significant precipitation is expected on Thursday and the wind will become light.

It is expected that new snow and rain clouds will cross the country from the west on Friday, but at the end of the week it will become warmer – on Sunday the air temperature can reach +20 degrees.
