In the management report, the president of LPF stated that in 2023 it was possible to significantly increase the organization’s revenues and exceed the limit of 582,000 euros, with the revenue growth exceeding the 25% threshold for the second year.

For the third year in a row, LPF has spent almost 260,000 euros in the swimming sports program, spending the funds on the athletes included in the basic composition of the LPF national team.

In the year under review, 32 athletes in various age groups were included in the basic composition of the swimming team, who throughout the year participated in LPF-paid training camps abroad and in Latvia, and also received material and financial support for improving the training process on a daily basis.

In terms of sporting achievements, the sixth place won by Ieva Maļukas in the European U-23 Championship was especially noted, as well as our Daniil Bobrov and Ronen Kerman’s entry into the semi-finals of the European Championship in the 25-meter pool, winning 15th place.

During the reporting period, Latvian records were broken nine times, of which Maļuka had seven individual records and one in the relay together with the “RBJSS Rīdzene-DSN” quartet, and one more – for the boys’ quartet of the Valmiera sports school

It is mentioned that last year 15 young swimmers fulfilled the standard of sports master for the first time, which is the repeated best indicator since the change of criteria in 2017, but Maļuka also fulfilled the standard of international class master of sports.
