The warm weather expected at the weekend will be good for the plants, said Andris Skudra, Agricultural Consultant of the Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Center (LLKC).

Wondering whether the expected snow at the beginning of April will harm the plants after the heat expected over the weekend, Asudra said that unless there is a week-long bare frost with minus 10 to minus 15 degrees, the plants will not be damaged.

The ant noted that spring has begun and now we must think about resowing the dead crops, as well as planning all the field work to be done in a row.

LLKC has been operating since 1991 and is the largest rural consultancy provider in Latvia. Its purpose is to promote rural prosperity, while being aware of the responsibility for the rural environment, by providing customers with access to knowledge, consultations and other industry-related services.

It has already been reported that on Sunday afternoon, with the sun warming and a moderately strong southeast wind blowing, the air temperature is expected to rise to +17..+22 degrees. On Sunday evening and Monday night, temporary rain and thunderstorms are possible in many places, which can locally bring heavy rain, hail and strong wind gusts.

On the second Easter, after a warm night, when the air temperature will remain above +10 degrees in most of the country, the thermometer may rise to +18..+22 degrees, it will be cooler on the coast. The wind will become slower, temporary rain and thunderstorms are expected in places.

After the holidays, the weather will become colder, snow is possible and the temperature may drop below zero at night.
