“Sirin Development” will continue to develop logistics centers around the airport

Since last September, we have been trying to get a conversation with the new mayor of Riga, but it never happened. In our view, this whole situation has arisen because there was a conflict or lack of consensus between the Riga City Council and the Ministry of Transport. If everyone had sat down at the same table and discussed what the state needs and what the municipality needs, what we can offer, then there would be a better understanding. After 2022, when we won the auction, we have more than once met with the representatives of Riga municipality and told how we see the development of this territory. It is a large plot of land, a large investment, and of course everyone wants to know what will happen there and what infrastructure, including access roads, will be needed there. We also went to the Ministry of Transport. After being denied ownership at registration, we also went to the airport and asked what the airport needed. We have spent a lot of time on this and at no point did anyone tell us that we do not need any of your plans, this is a plot of land of strategic importance and the state will not give it back because it is needed for the airport. There was nothing like that! Since 2022, we have not heard anything about it or seen it in any document.
