The Nature House of the Science and Education Innovation Center (ZIIC) of the Liepāja Education Board together with the Latvian Ornithological Society within the framework of the “Bird Observation Network on the Baltic Sea Coast” project on April 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. organizes and invites everyone interested to participate in “Bird Days” activities, which will take place on the territory of Zirgu salas, Liepāja.
The central event of the event will be an excursion at 11.00 in the territory of Zirgu Island, which is located in a specially protected natural area, in the nature reserve “Lake Liepājas”. The excursion will be led by nature enthusiast and bird expert Artūrs Billerts, who will share his knowledge and adventures related to this unique natural place.
In parallel with the tour in the Nature House from From 11.00 to 14.00 there will be several free activities that will be available to all interested parties. From 12.00 Visitors will be able to participate in a bird cage making workshop, view interactive installations related to birds, watch a short film about bird dances and participate in other events. These activities will help you get to know different bird species and see the world of birds in a new, exciting way.
The organizers of the event invite all interested parties, especially families, to enjoy time together in nature, get to know its richness and share the experience of bird watching. It will be not only educational but also an excitingly entertaining adventure for all nature enthusiasts.
