According to the latest “Global Forecast System” data, rain is expected on Friday night and in the morning, it will rain heavily in some places, the precipitation will be less during the day. The wind will turn from the west and blow in gusts at a speed of up to 11-16 meters per second. The air temperature at night will drop to +4..+9 degrees, the maximum temperature during the day is expected from +5 degrees in places on the coast to +13 degrees in the south of the country.

On the night of Saturday, it may rain in many places, the day is expected to be mostly dry. Fog is possible on the coast, and the maximum air temperature on Holy Saturday is expected to range from +5 degrees in some parts of the coast to +16 degrees in the southeastern part of the country.

On Sunday afternoon, as the sun warms and a moderately strong southeast wind blows, the air temperature is expected to rise to +17..+22 degrees. On Sunday evening and Monday night, temporary rain and thunderstorms are possible in many places, which can locally bring heavy rain, hail and strong wind gusts.

On the second Easter, after a warm night, when the air temperature will remain above +10 degrees in most of the country, the thermometer may rise to +18..+22 degrees, it will be cooler on the coast. The wind will become slower, temporary rain and thunderstorms are expected in places.

After the holidays, the weather will become colder, snow is possible and the temperature may drop below zero at night.

It has already been reported that, according to the data of the Latvian Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology, the highest air temperature recorded in the country in the first month of spring so far is +20.8 degrees on March 30, 1968 in Mērsrag. On the other hand, the heat record for March 31 and April 1 is +19.1 degrees, which was registered in 2010 in Rucava and in 2017 in Stande, respectively.
