The film focuses heavily on Bob’s iconic alter-ego Super Dave Osborne, as well as Einstein’s work in front of and behind the camera on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.

Bob’s portrayal in the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm is also not forgotten in the documentary memoir.

“Super Bob Einstein” features impressions of Bob’s friends, stage colleagues, comedians, reminiscences and analysis of jokes. Speaking – Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Susie Esme, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Martin.

The film is made more personal by reminiscences by Einstein’s brothers Albert Brooks and Cliff Einstein, as well as by his wife Bertha and daughter Erin, family home video clips and photos that show Bob as a loving family man, not just a comedian.

The actor died on January 2, 2019 after a long battle with cancer, but his legacy in the comedy genre lives on.

“If Bob knew there was a documentary being made about him, he’d pretend he didn’t like being pissed off, but he’d actually love and enjoy every minute of it,” the film’s introduction declares.
