The concert season of the Kalnciem quarter will be opened with the performance of the band ‘Kautkaili’

The summer concert season of the Kalnciem quarter will be opened on May 30 this year with the group “Kautkaili” performance, the portal “Delfi” is informed by the organizers.

According to Alise Funta, the representative of the Kalnciem quarter, this year’s cultural program “Summer outside. Summer together” does not expect any surprises. For example, a concert by legends of the Latvian pop scene, a performance of internationally acclaimed jazz artists, masterful DJs, the already traditional Chess Day, a musical evening dedicated to sustainable travel and more. What and when exactly is planned – the organizers of the event keep it a secret and invite you to follow the social networks of the Kalnciems quarter and information in the media room. However, the organizers have already revealed that this summer “Zzeltenie pastnieki”, Katrīna Gupalo with the group, “JUUK”, Helen Kozlova and Kārļi Kazāk trio will perform in the Kalnciem quarter. The dates of upcoming events will usually be announced a couple of weeks in advance.

“”Kautkaili” is based on experiments with nostalgia in music, where Latvian alternative pop music of the 90s meets worldly soul music, using modern sound layers. The band’s diamond is singer and songwriter Kristīne Pāže, whose velvety voice and intelligent melodies lead to a world of feelings that have not yet been known,” this is how the band is announced by the concert organizers. In November 2023, the group released their debut album “Personas kodos”, which won a “Golden Microphone” nomination in the “Pop Music Album of the Year” category. On the other hand, the song “Let me” has already conquered the airwaves of Latvian radio stations and won the “Song of the Year” nomination of “Zelta Mikrofona”.
