Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent plans are a significant sign that the couple is beginning to consider a complete severance of relations with the United Kingdom and the Royal House, according to the British media “The Mirror”.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have appointed a new head of communications based in the UK, hinting that they are not ready to completely cut ties with the UK and may still want to build the Sussex brand in Britain.
The couple, who stepped down as royals in 2020, rarely visit the UK and are currently strained with the royal family after controversial interviews and comments on their Netflix series.
Charlie Gipson and Kyle Bullia have joined the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as Heads of Communications. Gipson is based in the UK as Director of Communications and acts as the main point of contact for the UK press. Boulia, on the other hand, is the new deputy press secretary and director of communications for US media.
The new team members join a broader team, including former director of global communications Miranda Barbota, who is now vice president of program and media operations. Ashley Hansen remains the head of project communications for the couple and their company, Archewell.
