On May 5, the classical music guild “Euterpe” invites you to the musical memorial evening of the legendary Latvian pianist Jautrīte Putniņa “Saule muzika” in the Great Hall of the Small Guild. This concert will be a confirmation of her words, gratitude for the great contribution to Latvian cultural life and young talents who have stood on their own feet for a long time and delight both Latvian and foreign audiences. A whole constellation of artists will take part in the concert – associates, students and students of Jautrīte Putniņa, thereby continuing the succession of generations and partially fulfilling the pianist’s fondest wish that every child be taught music according to their ability and understanding.
The concert will be performed by the young talents trained by Valmiera’s Aivars Cepīš and Ritmas Pētersones-Cepītes from Valmiera’s “Universum” music and art high school, as well as professional artists – pianists Helen Laukmane, Herta Hansen, Ausma Luste-Anuševica, Jurģis Andersons and Andrejs Laukmanis, violinist Anita Balčuna, cellist Ivars Bezprozvanov, saxophonist Vilnis Kundrats, soprano Anta Jankovska, tenor Guntars Rungis and flutist Ilona Meija.
