“Detectives of Darkness” will try to find out – whether Pokainai Forest is an ancient holy place and a portal to the world of shadows

The Pokainai forest on the side of Dobele, surrounded by stories, is a place where the laws of physics seem to stop working. There is a belief that strong energies reign here and the entrance to parallel worlds opens.

Countless magical stories and myths are associated with the Pokainai forest, based on the ancient and inexplicable stone piles found in the picturesque forest landscape, in which the stones are arranged in larger and smaller groups, piles, lines and ramparts.

What is the purpose of these formations and whether they were used as sacred places in the rituals of the ancestors – so far it has not been possible to find out, but several visitors to the forest have reported energy currents felt near the artificial formations, changes in physical well-being or even a flow of information perceived from another reality.

While for some the Pokainai forest is an entertaining place for a walk, others go here in search of answers, and still others deliberately keep a safe distance from the haunted place.

During the investigations, the “Detectives of Darkness” will encounter moments of fatigue, weakness, and the working devices of paranormal phenomena researchers will react peculiarly – they will suddenly turn off, full batteries will discharge. In the end, will the experts manage to contact the real owners of the magical place?

In ten exciting episodes, “Detectives of Darkness” will go on investigations to the most haunted places in Latvia, where legends of the experienced paranormal phenomena circulate – these will be both historical objects, including castles, manors and prisons, as well as investigations initiated by viewers and eyewitnesses. “Detectives of Darkness” is the first television project of this level of professional investigation of the world of ghosts in Latvia, which will take its viewers on an unforgettable journey to parallel realities where worlds collide.

The new show “Detectives of Darkness” will be available on TV3 and Go3 from February 28 on Wednesday evenings at 21:45.
