Lauris Valters lived in Kurzeme during his childhood and teenage years, where he graduated from Brocēnai Secondary School and the piano class of Saldus Music School. In 2000, together with his high school friends, he founded the group “Shadows”, with which 12 years of the musician’s creativity are connected. Currently, Lauris Valters has been performing as a solo artist for 10 years, attracting talented and professional musicians to concerts. Lauris composes songs and writes texts for other performers as well. For two years, he worked at Latvian Radio 5 channel, or “Pieci.lv”, where he hosted his program “Pieci Retro”. This spring Lauri turns 40 years old and in April several of his anniversary concerts are expected, a new album “Arpus laika” was also released.
Reflecting on this performance philosophically, he says: “It is important to live from the heart in the moment we are in now and to look to the future with a bright, positive outlook.”
